In life, common cooling fans are divided into two types:

One is an axial flow fan;
The other is a turbo fan, also known as a centrifugal fan.
Axial Fan
Axial flow fans are very widely used, that is, the airflow in the same direction as the axis of the fan blades, such as electric fans, air conditioner outdoor fans are axial flow fans.

The reason why it is called “axial flow” is because the gas flows parallel to the axis of the fan, and it can be understood that the direction of blowing is perpendicular to the plane of rotation of the fan. Axial flow fans are usually used in applications with high flow requirements and low pressure requirements.

Features:
Generally speaking, the flow rate of the axial flow fan is relatively large, but the wind pressure is relatively small; that is, the direction of the wind blown in or sucked in is perpendicular to the direction of the fan blade, that is, parallel to the rotation axis of the fan.

Rectifier grid: The rectifier grid is used on the inlet pipe of the blower to balance the airflow.
With the continuous improvement of technology, the capacity of the blower is also getting larger and larger, which requires the airflow entering the blower to be as balanced as possible to reduce the vibration of the blower and ensure the pressure of the blower to supply air to the blast furnace (if the airflow is unbalanced, hitting the obstruction object, there will be a reaction force, causing the fan to vibrate).

When the fluid passes through the bend, energy loss is caused by the change of flow direction and uneven distribution of the fluid, which leads to an increase in the flow resistance of the pipeline, and the fluid is prone to turbulent flow. On the blower inlet pipe, turbulence is more likely to develop with elbow fittings due to the larger pipe diameter.
A set of staggered guide vanes are arranged in the rectifying grid, so that the fluid can pass through the guide vanes smoothly and orderly, which reduces the disturbance of the airflow to the blower blades, and reduces the pressure loss caused by the steering of the airflow.

Another type of turbo fan is also called a centrifugal fan. The rotation of the fan blades of the turbo fan causes changes in the airflow; it should be noted that the airflow of the axial fan is parallel to the axis of rotation and perpendicular to the plane of rotation of the blades;
